DAY #103: An Assignment

Hello New Testament Readers;

A bit different today - yes, read through the portion of Luke that is on the schedule for today (Luke 8:22-39). But, after doing so, I'd like you to tell me what the purpose of the Bible is. In 2-3 paragraphs, using supporting scripture, tell me why we read, study, meditate upon and memorize God's word.

Great day at COV yesterday. The worship was pretty amazing. Thank God for Pastor Dave and the worship team. Continue to pray for Pastor Dave and Cathy. I love you guys.

Pastor Mike

  1. The purpose of the Bible is a way for God to talk to us. The Bible is God's Word. It ia also a great problem solver. Any issue you face in the world can be solved in the the Bible or God's Word.

    We study God's Word because we can educate others on how great God is and what He is really trying to tell us. We memorize God's word so when a situation comes up, we can remember what the Bible's perspective is.

    Lord, help others follow this blog and grow spiritually. In Jesus Name, Amen.

  2. I believe there are many reasons for the bible. We have the bible as a life guide. It teaches us how to live our lives. It also shows us how Jesus lived his life and He is our role model and teacher for our how we should live. The bible holds all of the answers to the questions the world has.

    By knowing scripture we can be prepared to share God's word and love. To me memorizing scripture is a tool of preperation. It keeps me strong in times of weakness and it's a way to remember all of God's promises.
